Columbia River Gorge

This shot was taken from Lyle, Washington; Oregon is across the Columbia. The Columbia River divides the two states. The eastern edge of the Gorge receives significantly less precipitation than the other portions of the Gorge.

Spectacular Multnomah Falls are one of numerous waterfalls cascading down to the Columbia. Multnomah Falls is the largest waterfall in Oregon with a total drop of over 600 feet.
Multnomah Falls are a popular tourist destination and are less than a one hour drive from Oregon's largest city, Portland.
